TRACK BANQUET......COME CELEBRATE THE END OF THE SEASON
When: May 18, 2008 Where: Freeman Smith Park Time: 3pm-7pm Activities: Awards, Food, Moon Bounce, Volleyball, & Music Directions from Elmore Park: 1. Turn left on Altruria 2. Right on Stage 3. Left on Summer 4. Pass Yale and Germantown Pkwy 5. Left on Brunswick Rd (park on Right Hand Side) Directions from Interstate: 1. Take I-240 to I-40 (East) towards Nashville 2. Take Exit 16- Germantown Rd (North) for approximately 3 miles to Hwy 70 3. Take a right on Hwy 70 (East) for 2 miles. 4. Take a left at the traffic light which is Brunswick Rd. 5. Haven't got enough of track this year. Well you have an absolutly fantastic opportunity to participate in a local Amatuer Athletic Union Track and Field Compeitition here in Tn. There has been a change to the CBHS site here in Memphis. The meet will now be held in Johnson City Tn. You can find the details listed below. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- The 2008 edition of the AAU Southeastern Track & Field Championships have been moved to Johnson City, Tennessee to be held on June 27-28, 2008. Slipstream Track & Field Club ( new name for Northeast Tennessee T&F) will serve as the host club on an emergency basis. For more late breaking information check www.seaausports.com ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 2008 AAU Regional 3A Track & Field Championships University of Tennessee, Knoxville, TN July 10-13, 2008 Multi-Events are on July 10-11 and the Track & Field Events are on July 12-13. Top 4 in each event qualify for AAU Junior Olympic Games. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 2008 AAU Junior Olympic Games Detroit, MI July 26-August 2, 2008 (Please note for you that have a negative image of Detroit, that track & field will take place at Eastern Michigan University in Ypsalanti, MI just outside of Ann Arbor.) 08 CHEER SIGN-UPS.....MAJOR CHANGES TO THE CHEER PROGRAM
Come join the Elmore Park Packers for our 41ST Cheer Season If you are a past Elmore Park participant or will be new to the program, you need to make plans to sign-up at one of the upcoming sign-up dates. Cheerleading sign-ups will be held May 6th, 7th, 13th, 14th at Elmore Park Middle School from 5-7 p.m. Participation is open ot girls age 6-14. New pariticipants will need to bring a recent picture and a copy of the birth certificate. Elmore Park Cheer in 08 will be going recreational. This means participation will be much more affordable with a lower fee schedule. Since there will be no coaches fees and one set price for the uniform package we hope to bring the cheer experience into the reach of many more participants. Altogether including uniform, booster club fees, SYS Fees and minor incidentals, we are looking at a Fee Schedule of around $200 per participant. Multi- participant family discounts will be available as well as fundraising opportunities that can bring the cost of pariticipation down to zero. Another added benefit of our program going recreational it the practice schedule will be greatly reduced and our only compeitition will be the local SYS Cheer-OFF that is mostly funded by SYS. On May 18, 2008, we will be hosting our Track and Field Awards Picnic. At which time, our organization will come together and celebrate all of our participants’ accomplishments throughout the track season. Your help with our event would contribute to its success by allowing us to keep our services at low cost. We would greatly appreciate any food and supply donations.
