ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?????

Yes its hard to believe but the start-up of Elmore Parks 39th football season is just around the corner. Once again, the season will be starting early this year with the first practice scheduled for July 25th, from 5:30 till 7:30 at Kate Bond Elementary. Don't forget....the first week practice is in shorts,T-Shirt, cleats and helmut.

All of our coaches are in place, Buster Thompson at Seniors, Jason Cheetam at Pee Wee and Claude Johnson at Bantams. All are excited about the upcoming season and can't wait for it to begin.

We also have a couple of early sign-ups dates slated for July the 9th & 16th also at Kate Bond that will run from 3-5 P.M.

If you are a past particpant we don't need your birth certificate but we will need a recent picture. If you are new to Elmore Park we will need both.

7TH & 8TH GRADE FOOTBALL SIGN-UPS AROUND THE CORNER

Elmore Park will have a Senior Football team this coming 2005 Football Season

Coaches are in place, uniforms have been ordered and everything is set to go. If you are a 7th, 8th or 9th grader that will not turn 15 prior to Dec. 15th you are eligible to play for the Pack.

There are a lot of advantages to playing 7th and 8th grade football at Elmore Park.

Here Are Just A Few:

1. An 8 game schedule with a 3 round playoff schedule: Other leagues only have 5 or 6 games.

2. No year round practices: You begin practice in late July and the season is over the 2nd week in November.

3. Squad Size Is Smaller: Because squad size is smaller you get the chance to hone your skills and get more playing time.

4.Low Cost: Yeah some say they are free to play but pack on extra charges once you start. We tell you what its going to cost and that’s it.

5.Not getting Defined By The High School Coaches: By playing in the other league the high school coaches may decide where you are going to play early as the 7th or 8th grade. With SYS you get the chance to develop at your own pace, still have fun and try a lot of positions. You might not get this chance with the other league.

6.Eligible for SYS Scholarship Moneys: If you participate with SYS you are automatically eligible for participation in SYS's Scholarship Program.

7.Play for a Proven Winner: Elmore Park was the 2nd and 3rd place finisher in 2001 and 2002 SYS League play and was a play-off contender in 04

8.Learn the Fundamentals that will allow you to play at the High School Level: Many of our former participants have gone on to sucessfull high-school football careers.Just ask our coaches......

THE 2005 ELMORE PARK CHEER AND DANCE TEAMS

Its still not too late to become part of Elmore Parks 4 grade divsion Cheer & Dance Squads. The girls will be cheering their hearts out at games on Saturdays and competing in several local and national cheer competitions throughout the year.

The Blackman Machine, Jennifer and Dustin who between them have numerous National Cheer Championships under their belts both as cheerleaders and coaches will be once again be a part of the Elmore Park Cheer and Dance Coaching Staff. This makes our cheer coaching staff second to none in the city with both of them enjoying great reputations for training everyone from the novice to top college athletes. Will this year be a 4 peat National win for our Bantams??????Just ask Dustin and Jennifer..........
