ELMORE PARK YOUTH SPORTS RECURRING GIVING PROGRAM
The cost of running EPP for our participants has gone up considerably since I first became involved with the program back in 96. Back then, our first year fees for football were just $105.

Part of the reason for the increase in the cost of participation lays in the addion of new program services by SYS. With the addition of new program services over the years like Bantam football and Monday Night JV football additional costs were incurred and had to be passed on to the participants. Insurance cost and the cost of facility rentals by SYS has gone up as well.

In addition to these cost increases, Elmore Park now incurs the cost of paying to keep the lights on, replacing light bulbs as they burn out, cutting the grass and general maintenance of our field. All of these costs have had to be factored into our fee schedule and past on to our participants.

Unfortunately, these costs as well as incidental inflation for things like football jerseys, pants, helmet emblems, etc. have over the last 10 years, led to a doubling of the cost of participation.

While EPP Booster Club has done a fantastic job of managing the program resources and keeping costs down, we would like to reverse the trend of passing these cost increases and reduction in program services on to our participants by ramping up our fundrasing efforts.

In an effort to reduce the overall cost of participation and enhance the experience of our participants, we are going to try and reverse the trend of passing on these cost increases in the participation fees through the creation of a "Recurring Giving Program".

HOW IT WORKS

You will simply go online to www.elmoreparkpackers.com and click the Donate Now link on the homepage. Once there you will be given 1 of 3 choices.

1. Contribute Now

2. $10 a month recurring contribution

3. $5 a month recurring contribution

On the Donate now button, we have partnered with Active.com to process the donation through their secured server. These moneys are then sent to Elmore Park via a check and in turn deposited into our account by our Booster Club. You then receive an e-mail receipt of your transaction

With the Recurring Contribution Program out goal is to reach out to our donor community and ask for support in small incremental amounts of $5 and $10 a month. By creating a base of 10 to 100 donors we feel we can easily raise 3 to 6 thousand dollars a year.

You can donate throughout the year in these small $5 and $10 increments by visiting our Donate Now link, clicking the monthy amount you wish to contribute and going through the necessary steps as required by Pay Pal to set up the contribution. It shouldn't take more than 10 minutes if you don't already have a Pay Pal Account. If you do its as easy as clicking Contribute now logging you your account and boom your done. Once completed, you can cancel at any time and at the end of 1 year, you will be sent an e-mail notificaiton if you want to renew.

Right now, we are in a test mode and would like to ask that you don't make a contribution as of yet but simply cast you vote at the donation link(here is the link:

HUMOR IN SPORTS: FOOTBALL FINALLY MAKES SENSE
Football FINALLY makes sense

A guy took his blonde girlfriend
to her first football game. They had great seats right behind their team's bench. After the game, he asked her how she liked the experience.

"Oh, I really liked it," she replied, "especially the tight
pants and all the big muscles, but I just couldn't understand why they were killing each other over like 25 cents."

Dumbfounded, her date asked, "What do you mean?"
"Well, they flipped a coin, one team got it and then for then rest of the game, all they kept screaming was: 'Get the quarterback! Get the quarterback!' I'm like...Helloooooo? It's only 25 cents!!!!
ELMORE PARK'S MASCOT: GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTON
I'm sorry to have to report to our membership but Gypsie, our faithfull mascot and all around great dog passed away of old age the pass January.
Anyone who has been with the program over the past several years will remember Gypsie as the sweet natured loving Great Dane owned by KerriAnn, Donnie and Andrew Moore. On game days Gypsie would don here Packer Green and Gold in support of the program and was loved and cared for by all who shared the sideline with her.

We have posted a picture of Gypsie on the Elmore Park homepage and want to thank the Moores for sharing her with us over the past several years....
