OUR ELMORE PARK CHEER AND DANCE TEAMS ON A ROLL
Here is a copy of a letter from SYS Cheer Commissioner Cheryl Cathey concerning our Bantam and Jr/Sr. cheer squads performance at a cheeer compeitition held this past Saturday.

I would like to draw special attention to the Bantams performance in that our girls who are 6 & 7 years in age, held their own and walked away with a 2nd place finish against squads almost twice their age.

Much, but of course not all, of the success of our Bantam squad this year can be attributed to to the great leadership of their sponsor Robin Garner and to the efforts of our gifted and talented coach Dustin Blackman.

Also worth noting was the first place finish of our Senior Squad in their age division.

RE: Elmore Park Youth Sports Service Hours.

Dear Chris,.

I just wanted to say thanks to you, CBHS and the young men who supported Elmore Parks Youth Sports cheer and football banquet Nov. 20th 2004 and Nov. 21st 2004. Several of the young men namely Tyler Watkins, Tyler Pounders and Dayton Hubbard were former Elmore Park participants and it was a welcome sight to have them come back to their old youth football program and support it the way they did. Dayton’s little brother even showed up to help pitch in and he’s not even a CBHS student..

As for the rest of the young men, I can’t say enough about the maturity level of each of them. They signed up, showed up early and stayed late. Their attitudes were fantastic through out and each and every one of them was a pleasure to work with. I also want to make mention of how well they thought on their feet, needing very little direction and doing an overall fantastic job..

Here are the names and hours that each one accrued over the course of the 2 days:.

TYLER POUNDERS 11TH Grade 10 hrs.

DAYTON HUBBARD 10TH Grade 5 hrs.

TYLER WATKINS 9TH Grade 5 hrs.

CHRIS WALKER 10th Grade 5 hrs.

JOSEPH WARD 9TH Grade 5 hrs.

RUSS PATTON 9TH Grade 10 hrs.

DEVON HAINES 9TH Grade 5 hrs.

HOUSTON WICKHAM 9TH Grade 10 hrs.

JOHN KOREN 10 hrs.

MICHAEL KOREN 10 hrs.

If there is anyone I have missed or shorted hours please contact me directly and I will make sure to take care of the oversight as quickly as I can..

Thanks again for each and everyone’s support of our event. It was a great day of fun and celebration for the youth of the Elmore Park Youth Sports community made even better by your volunteer efforts. Go Brothers!!!!!!!!.

Best Regards,.

Tony Miller

MAKE YOUR END OF THE YEAR TAX DEDUCTIABLE DONATION NOW!!!!
Like any non-profit organization, Elmore Park Youth Sports has financial needs that go beyond what we collect in fees from our participants. We have to pay the light bills, maintain our own field (cut the grass, fertilize and spray) not to mention finding ways to bring participation within the reach of as many participants as possible through our fee exemption program.

There are many ways you can help..

1. Cash donations or matching grants.

2. Donations of in-kind goods and services.

3. Volunteering your time.

For more information on how you can help support Elmore Park Youth Sports contact our Area Director Tony Miller at almiller@fedex.com or give him a call at 647-6942..

BOOSTER CLUB ELECTIONS HELD AT BANQUET
Congratulations to Andrea Miller upon her election to the office of Booster Club President. We would like to thank and recognize Lisa Felts as well as Holly Taylor for staying on board as officers with the booster club.

These 2 ladies worked so hard on behalf of Elmore Park this year.

Managing the organizations finances, conducting fundraising, ordering uniforms the list goes on and on.

On the concession side of the fundraising alone around $1500 dollars was raised this year for the benefit of of Elmore Park. Concessions are a hard way to raise money. Think about it for a minute. How much time and energy that goes into planning a game day concession and organizing enough volunteers to feed 5 to 800 of your closest friends on game day. THANKS LISA AND HOLLY FOR ALL OF YOUR HARD WORK!!!!!!!!!!
